I kissed my new wife with a greedy passion. I had no idea what her name was, but she was gorgeous. Her flaming-red hair spilled around our faces as we kissed. I stared into her green eyes, lost to this wondrous heat she sparked in me. The redheaded beauty cupped my face with tender fingers.

Tuesday, June 12th, 2074 – Queenie Glassner – Southern Oregon

My cheeks were warm, and my leg throbbed when I woke up. How could a stupid scratch cause so much trouble? My upper thigh ached worse as I sat up. I reached for the pouch of willow bark, pulled out a piece, and chewed on it. It was bitter, but after I swallowed, the fever and ache diminished.
