So, once again, Amazon was being annoying.
They seemed to think my penname Reed James was too close to a “known author.” AKA someone famous. Who? No idea. Amazon couldn’t tell me. I had to go back and forth with them a few times to get my book published.
I was worry they were going to say, “Sorry, no more using Reed James. Just unpublish thousands of stories and 8 years worth of publishing as Reed James!”
Luckily, they came to their senses.
Also, my WordPress blog has unpublished in its dictionary but not unpublish.
I’ve been reading In Another World on my Smartphone. I’m up to Volume 8. I sort of like it and sort of don’t. I think 8 might be where I stop reading this one. I’m not sure. There’s an actual overarching plot that’s interesting, but the books get bogged down in some other stories.
But he’s up to 8 fiancees. One more to go. I like that. He doesn’t even get much say in his new fiancees. His harem just vetoes or approves prospective women. They said no to a beastwoman last volume and said yes to the lolibaba in this one. You know, she looks like she’s twelve but she’s actually a thousand year old fairy.
I guess my big problem is exemplified in part 7. So there’s the story threat bursts into life in a real way with real stakes. It seems pretty dire. Only it gets wrapped up halfway through the novel and switches over to a fighting tournament to save one beastman clan from losing and losing more of their territory.
Japanese light novels have weird structures.
I was so happy to see An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride: Volume 13 was released. I’m glad I preordered it because the ebooks for the light novels, save the volume 14 preorder, are all missing off Amazon. The print editions are for sale still.
J-Novel Club is always reposting their light novels. Not sure why. I don’t think it’s things getting blocked because even some very tame stuff this happens to.
Anyways, the sweet story of Zagan, an archdemon (master sorcerer) who has grown up alone and never needing anyone falls in love with Nephys, an elf being sold as a slave. So he buys her, wanting to set her free.
Now, things are nuts. We’ve been adding characters and building towards some crazy stuff. This is one of the longest volumes, and it’s all action. Battle. Every character in peril. Exciting stuff.
I like this series. Hope it keeps going!
I started playing some Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster off Steam. This was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played back in the 8th grade. I had just gotten into JRPGs with Secret of Mana and Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, so I was thrilled when Final Fantasy VI (then Final Fantasy III).
It was this game that awakened my love for video game soundtracks. I used to just let the game sit on the world map and listen to Terra’s Theme.
I’m not far, just got to South Figaro, but I mostly like the game. The sprites are a little different. Terra’s arms move weird. The music has been updated from midi to fully symphony done by Nobuo Uematsu. The game flows well.
Not sure why there’s a minimap in spaces so small, I can see most of the “room” on the screen that it’s showing me a map.
But it’s a lot of fun. Not like trying to play this game on the PlayStation when that remake came out and it took a minute or more to load the menu.
I have found two hot shows from iStripper! Really love having these sexy girls dancing on my second computer screen. Very inspiring while writing.
First, there is Kelly Collins dressed as Sailor Moon in one hot and naughty show, Sail Me to the Moon! So hot! The other was Alissa Foxy as a hot cat girl in Savage Latex. It’s a sultry show!
