I watched in horror as the warehouse was consumed by flames. The greedy fire devoured the structure in minutes. The flames delighted in the destruction it caused, an insane glee that grew and grew as it engulfed more and more of the building in its tendrils. I blinked, glancing at the digital clock displayed in the lower right corner of my laptop’s screen. I had been writing for a solid hour, lost in creating my account, only slightly edited, of Master and Mistress’s story. It didn’t start out as a gospel for their burgeoning church, but a history. Then Vivian inspired me. She had written one book on what she learned from Master and Mistress, watching from the outside and interviewing as many of their conquests as she could. The first Holy Book of our burgeoning religion.

It was eerie watching Predator drone footage of Seattle. It was an IR (infrared) feed, white on black. The people appeared as black smears against bright streets. A green box was centered on one woman, Lamia. She appeared to be controlling the Mayor of Seattle, Craig Erikson, for the last two months. The drone had followed her from City Hall to a dilapidated warehouse in the industrial part of Seattle near the port.
