Chapter Fifty-Five

Siwang’s blood spurted as the griffins flew so fast, that they were impossible to see, but a shadow fell on them. Then the air was alive with geysers of water, corrosive shadows, hailing stones, blasts of wind, and sonic waves slammed around him.

The griffins attacking Siwang died.

They became motes that tumbled through the air while Leo’s ancient dragons soared over the battlefield. They circled now above his tower. They were here to protect him. They attacked the monster girls below, massacring the Level 1’s rushing toward the outpost.

Toward their death.

“Thanks, Leo,” Siwang sent to his friend. “But he has Level 4 monster girls. Watch out.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mrs. Baldwin strangled a satyr with her roots. The naughty monster girl had tried to flank her hydras and hit them from behind, not realizing a dryad was here. The dragons converged on the Outpost. All save Isatu who flew wounded overhead, her blood dripping from the skies.
She roared her triumph, though.
Excited like Mrs. Baldwin’s daughter.
“Seraphim!” Lana Fulmine screamed.
Mrs. Baldwin shot her gaze to the air when the ground near her shook. The dirt fell away and revealed a tunnel of stone. Out of it, dullahans charged out. The headless monster girls rode on black steeds.
“Behind us!” screamed Mrs. Baldwin at her hydras.
They spun around about as the dullahans threw their heads. Khazaana spat, her three heads firing green poison that struck the lead dullahan, killing her. A moment later, the heads struck. The explosion threw Mrs. Baldwin to the ground.
Khazaana and Zahar vanished into motes, ripped apart. The other two hydras had dodged and spat their poison at the attackers. On her belly, Mrs. Baldwin sent out her roots across the ground and seized a horse.
The beast neighed, throwing its dullahan rider. The monster girl landed on the ground. Mrs. Baldwin’s roots grabbed her, growing around the monster girl’s body and reaching for her neck to strangle the…
Death monster girl who had no head.
Who didn’t breathe?
The dullahan’s head reappeared, a wicked smile. Mrs. Baldwin could do nothing as the enemy slammed her head into the ground feet from the dryad. The explosion of Death devoured the Life monster girl and sent her to the void.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Seraphim!” Lana Fulmine cried so loud, Ms. Trueno jumped.

She whipped her head around as the earth rumbled. Explosions boomed in the distance. The earth near the thunder sprite split open, soil falling into a pit. Out of it soared cherubim, their wings crackling with lightning.

Magasa, one of the kitsune, was fast. She jumped and grabbed one of the cherubim, pulling her out of the air. The kitsune sang, hitting the Level 4 monster girl with the charming song. Would it be enough?

Lightning flashed from the other cherubim, striking Kincsa and Nagya. They died. Ms. Trueno dove beneath another blast, nearly stuck herself. She came up and stared at the cherubim winging around for another attack.

Ms. Trueno screamed.

Her sonic attack struck the cherubim. Two of them tumbled and burst into motes. One flew over, blasting lightning that missed. Ms. Trueno tracked the flying Lightning monster girl and kept screaming. The air rippled around the enemy.

Her wings crumbled before she died.

A blow struck Ms. Trueno from behind. It cast her to the ground. She lay there, not sure what hit her. Roka jumped down beside her, singing. She grabbed Ms. Trueno and started to drag her toward the cover of a rock.

Ms. Trueno never figured out what killed her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lana Fulmine dodged the blast of fire that came from the seraphim. They soared up into the air from a new hole that opened beneath her. The lightning sprite shouted her warning as she soared through the air, dodging flames.
Her Lightning angels attacked the Fire angels.
Electricity and flames shot through the sky, killing monster girls on both sides. Aureole and Lobisa vanished into sparks as Lana Fulmine’s wings crackled with electricity. There were so many seraphim. A dozen of them.
They fired at her as she wove through the air. How did Wai the Drowner have so many monster girls?
Fire struck her belly. She screamed as a second blast hit her wings. Lana Fulmine tumbled through the air and slammed into the earth, bursting into motes and hurtling into the Void. Confusion swept through her before the peace fell on her.
It was hard to care about the ambush in the embrace of Souleen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Crystal whirled at the warning, scanning the sides. Dust rose near the giants. Suddenly, a dozen jotnar were around their feet, swinging icy weapons at the calves of the giants. Hagane’s metallic body gleamed as she rode Milzisi’s shoulder.

“Watch out!” Bolshoya shouted and threw her icy weapon skyward.

A blur dodged around it and struck Bolshoya, tearing into her throat. A griffin’s wings flapped before taking off. Bolshoya died along with Vysokiy. The other two jotnar swung their icy clubs at the attacking griffins. Crystal flung her ice daggers.

And missed.

They were too fast.

Khraniti died.

Crystal threw her ice daggers fast, and killed a griffin. The others struck Lednika. The last of the jotnar went down. Crystal hurtled her dagger as the griffins streaked into the air, leaving her alone on the battlefield.

“Cowards!” she cried.

Singing surged around her.

Crystal gasped as a group of kitsune rushed at her. They bounded over the rocks. She tried to move, to throw her newest dagger, but the song pressed in on her. She trembled there as they crashed into her and ripped her frozen body apart.

She screamed in helpless fury as their song kept her immobilized.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Shit!” Leo shouted in Terra’s mind. “Mom’s down! Lana Fulmine’s down! Ms. Trueno and Crystal, too! He has Level 4’s! Lots of them! Watch out!”
Terra didn’t need the warning. She dodged a watery whip from a kappa. The golem rolled up, her coppery hair slashing behind her. She closed the distance and slammed her fist into the kappa’s face, caving in the monster girl’s skull.
One down, a dozen more of them to go.
More kappas attacked Terra and the ogresses. They whipped at her with the water coming from the tops of their heads. One wrapped around her neck, squeezing tight. She was shocked that they were choking her.
They were trying to squeeze the life out of her, but she didn’t breathe. She didn’t have a heartbeat. She rushed at the kappa. The monster girl squeezed tighter, the water digging into her clay, trying to rip her head off.
That would kill Terra.
She slammed her fist at the kappa. The monster girl raised her arms, blocking the blow. Bones snapped. The watery monster girl cried out in pain, her water vanishing. Terra swung her fist, sending more of her mass into it, turning it into a sledgehammer.
She caved in the kappa’s head.
The golem spun around to see the kappas fighting the ogresses. Two of them were missing, a few motes vanishing. Skarbi and Pacvara had died. The other two, Voina and Hrandyjozny, were slamming their clubs, crushing the kappas. Motes burst through the air.
Terra rushed toward a kappa, a whip of water growing from her head. Terra would crush her. They would beat back these monster girls.
A sword punched through Terra’s body. It was icy cold, stiffening her clay. She spun around to see a Level 1 valkyrie. Terra slammed her fist into the monster girl’s head, crushing her ice helmet and her head. She died easily, but pain radiated through her body.
Terra spun around to see the kappa slamming her water whip into the sword wound. The water flowed into the hole through her torso and widened it. Terra gasped as the clay making up her body eroded. The kappa smiled and surged more water into Terra.
The golem’s body burst apart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morana screeched at a hydra.

The multi-headed monster girl endured the deathly wail. A Level 4 Life monster girl had the resilience to drive it back. All three of her heads shot toward Morana and spat acid. The banshee dove out of the way of the liquid.

She came up and screeched again, her wail knocking back the hydra, but failing to again kill the monster girl. The hydra’s breasts heaved as she regained her balance. More hydras rushed to this one’s defense. Acid spat through the air, flying at her.

She shrieked, disrupting the acid.

Behind the hydras, her dullahans raced to her aid. They lifted their heads and threw them. The deathly explosions engulfed the group of hydras. Motes of light spilled out of it. Several had died, but the survivors spat at Morana. She shrieked, staring them down.

“For Dark Lord Leo!” she roared.

Fire struck the banshee from behind. She gasped as the flames engulfed her body. She screamed out in shock, spinning around, but all she could see were the fires burning her. She fell to the ground and into the embrace of the Void.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Retreat to Leo!” Maya shouted to everyone as her kappa died.
Seraphim threw fire down at them. Already, Udatta and Kasava were dead. The other two whipped water at the seraphim who blocked with their flaming swords. Steam hissed at the contact. The undine’s body rippled.
She wasn’t so good in a fight.
“Yes, yes, back to Dark Lord Big Bro!” Garnet shouted.
“We must regroup!” Hagane agreed.
Maya wanted to get to Leo and protect him, but a flaming sword slashed down at her. The undine spun out of the way of the attack, her body rippling. The seraph grinned, her eyes wild. Burning wings flared wide as she slashed her sword at Maya.
The undine compressed herself down and ducked it. She dove behind the seraph and came up. She leaped to engulf the monster girl’s head and kill her. The seraph’s flaming wing slapped back at Maya striking her. Heat swept through her body as she hit the ground.
Her flesh rippled and deformed from the impact. She bounced and came up on her feet to find the seraph’s sword plunging straight for her chest. It buried in between her tits. Her water boiled as the flames blazed through her.
Screaming, Maya leaped forward and engulfed the head of the enemy seraph. She wrapped herself around the monster girl’s head. The seraph’s blade came free. Maya poured her essence down the seraph’s throat, choking her. She did more than that, though.
She wrenched the seraph’s neck, twisting her body.
With a snap, the seraph died.
Maya fell through the motes and landed on her hands and knees. Waves washed through her flesh. She bounded to her feet for a second seraph sword to plunge through her back. She gasped at the heat, her water boiling. Pain swept through her.
A second slashed, cutting deep into her shoulder. The heat overwhelmed her body. She burst into steam and into motes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Yes, yes, back to Dark Lord Big Bro!” Garnet cried to the others as she soared with the demons.

It was chaos below and in the skies. Level 4 monster girls were slaughtering them. There were so many of them. Hagane agreed from atop her giantess. The dragons roared in the sky. Her big brother had to be protected.

“Cherubim,” Mhora, one of the demons, hissed, nodding to the right.

A flight of cherubim soared at them with wings of lightning. Electric halos crackled over their heads. Garnet gripped her shadowy whip as she nodded to her demons. This was a fight they had to face. They had to take it to the enemy.

They soared at them. Lightning crackled and shot at her flight. Garnet swooped to the right on her dark-red wings. Her flesh tingled from the close hit. Static electricity danced in the air. Stora screamed and vanished into motes.

She cracked her whip at a cherub’s wings. She struck the joint hard. The cherub gasped, her wing collapsing. She tumbled to the ground. The demons flogged the monster girls. Stinging cracks echoed through the air.

Lightning flashed.

Deamhana died

Electricity crackled to Garnet’s right. A cherub’s halo flared bright. Mhora slammed into the cherub from above. The Lightning monster girl gasped. Her blast missed Garnet. Mhora snapped the cherub’s neck. Motes burst in the air.

A bolt of lightning struck Mhora in the back. She went limp and became motes, her particles mixing with the dead cherub’s before they both faded away. Garnet gasped and formed a massive dildo club. She flew at the cherub.

“For Dark Lord Big Bro and Mhora!” she screeched and slammed it in the cherub’s face as hard as she could.

Bone crunched. The cherub spun away and hit the ground below, bursting in motes. Garnet whooped in triumph and spun around to see a bolt of lightning arching at her. It struck her in the stomach. Pain coursed through her.

The succubus’s body went limp.

She tumbled toward the ground, struggling to spread her wings wide. The torn-up earth rushed up at her. She struck hard and burst into the Void.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nina Naughty dodged the water whips of a group of kappa. The devil was alone, separated from her flight of seraphim. She formed a pitchfork and hurtled it at one of the enemy monster girls.
A whip of water intercepted it in a flash of steam.
Her seraphim soared toward her, Atesorara at the lead.
Nina Naughty soared through the long tendrils of water rising up at her. They were attacking her from all directions, keeping her from climbing out of danger. She kept having to dodge and bank. It kept her speed low.
She hissed in frustration and threw another pitchfork.
This time, it struck the kappa in the chest in a burst of flames. The monster girl screamed. Her whip of water vanished as she burst into motes. The devil grinned and glanced at her seraphim. They should be…
A group of griffins attacked them.
The seraphim slashed with their swords at the speedy monster girls, slashing at the air in a vain attempt to bring them down. Nina ground her teeth together as Atesorara died. She couldn’t focus on them. She—
A water whip struck her wing.
Pain burst from the appendage as it collapsed. Nina Naughty spun through the air and plunged to the ground. She formed a flaming pitchfork and threw it at a kappa on her way down. It struck the enemy monster girl just as the devil managed to flare her wings.
Pain exploded through the wounded one.
Her fall broke enough for her to survive hitting the ground. She slid on her knees through the mud. She groaned and looked up to see the water whips falling for her. A flaming pitchfork formed in her hand. She thrust it up, blocking the first.
Steam exploded, obscuring her vision.
A tentacle struck her from behind. Another from the side. That one wrapped around her neck. She conjured a pitchfork and threw it at the monster girl strangling her. The tentacle jerked hard. Something popped.
My neck, realized the porn star devil before the void engulfed her. Her final thought before falling into the peace of sleep was, Fuck, did I kill the bitch?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mrs. Bella Lucina soared with her houri back toward Leo’s position.

From below, a shadowy whip grabbed her foot. She gasped to see a flight of demons beneath them. Her houri shouted as they were all yanked out of the sky by the whips that had grabbed them. The angel tumbled and hit the ground hard enough to hurt.

But not to kill her.

She rolled in the torn-up crown, dust thick in the air. She came up on her feet and fired a blast of light at one of the demons, ripping off the enemy monster girl’s head. Motes spun through the air. Her houri threw out their light, too.

The demons screamed and died. They were driven off because a horde of Level 1 monster girls rushed at them. Mrs. Lucina had come down in the midst of the torrent. She fired her light at a mob of busty satyrs rushing at her.

The light killed several of them. She fired more and flared her wings wide. A red beam flashed out and cut through her left one. She gasped from the carbuncle’s attack. She fired her halo at the Earth monster girl, killing her.

Her houri landed around the angel. They danced about her, light flashing with their graceful beauty. Monster girls died. A flood of Level 1’s were around them. Maenad jumped at them. Wendigos and lemurs rushed in.

Her light flared.

She killed satyrs and rock elementals, hellhounds and will o’ wisps. Attacks flashed through the air. There were too many of the Level 1 monster girls. A group of wildhounds jumped on Askarbi, killing her. A squad of wraiths burst out of the ground around Poviya’s feet, ripping her apart before Mrs. Lucina could fire her light.

Nebo screamed. Mrs. Lucina spun around and blasted light at the wendigos that had attacked her. Something slammed into the angel from behind. She gasped as she hit the ground on her belly, her back throbbing.

Hoofs jumped on her. A satyr. She fired her light, killing the monster girl. Another, though, replaced her, goring the angel a second time. The pain overwhelmed her. She watched Velykyy still fighting as the void embraced her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hagane was forced to abandon Milzisi.
The giants fought a large group of jotnar, battling the Ice monster girls. The animated statue had to get back to Leo. So she ran across the ground, her arms turned into sharp blades. She would not let anything stand between her and Leo.
A group of wendigos with bluish skin and white hair leaped at her. They hissed wildly. Her arm-blades slashed through the air, cutting through the Ice monster girls. Motes of light reflected off her chrome body. She rushed forward.
Today was a disaster.
A hellhound jumped at her from a bush, her blackened body lean.
Hagane cut her in half.
A second lunged for her legs. She dodged that attack and slammed her sword into the monster girl’s back. Rainbow colors danced in the air. The animated statue rushed toward the entrance to the dungeon. She could see it ahead.
She had to guard it.
Hoofs galloped behind her.
She threw a glance to see a group of dullahans galloping at her with their heads raised. She cursed and spun to face them. She would have to dodge them perfectly. Like in a video game when she could not survive a single attack.
She had to do this perfectly.
“They’re almost to the entrance, Leo!” she sent as the dullahans threw their heads.
She watched the heads arcing at her. She rushed forward in a powerful spring, closing the distance at them. The heads exploded behind her. The dullahans didn’t keep riding at her. They pulled on their reigns and turned their horses around, creating distance.
She slowed to a stop as they broke into a wheel and began circling her, their heads reforming. A dozen of them stared at her with cruel delight. They raised their heads, smiles on them. The first one threw.
She rushed to the right. It burst close enough to rattle her metallic body. She closed the distance at one.
She threw her head. She dove beneath it and came up, slashing at the dullahan’s horse. She cut through the conjured beast. The dullahan fell to the ground, but Hagane could feel it. She was vulnerable. Instead of killing the monster girl, she jumped over her.
The explosion threw up dirt. The shock wave flung Hagane onto her belly. She hit hard, her metallic flesh ringing. She rolled over to see three more heads flying at her. They were spaced out, though. Boxing her in.
It didn’t matter which way she dodged.
The explosions ripped her body into metallic chunks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Alizee dodged demons.

Their shadowy whips cracked at her. She wove through them, alone. Her griffins were dead. From the ground, will o’ wisps fired ball lightning at her. Blue orbs of crackling death that the windy cheerleader had to weave through.

The wind whipped around the sylph as she spun around the attacks. She climbed and spun in the air, whipping her arms. She sent a blade of wind cutting for one of the demons. It split her head open and killed her.

Shadowy hips cracked at Alizee.

She spun out of the way. Another barrage of ball lightning swept past her. She didn’t see help in any direction she looked. Monster girls were dead everywhere. The dragons were being assaulted by other flyers.

Leo was in danger.

A whip struck her in the leg. She gasped as it yanked her back. She tumbled through the air toward the demon, a vicious bitch who looked eager for the kill. Alizee swept her arm before her. The blade of wind cut off the demon’s head.

Alizee soared through the motes into the midst of the other demons. There were so many of them in the air. She gasped as they attacked her. She dove for the ground toward a large thicket. She spun about and fired blades of wind behind her.

She clipped a demon’s wings. The monster girl gasped and tumbled.

Alizee plunged into the bush, using wind to blow back the branches and vanish into the thicket. It was full of thorns. The demons snarled above as she wiggled about on her belly. It was dense in here. She couldn’t see much.

Alizee just had to think of a plan. She hated thinking about things. She liked doing them. Just jump feet first into the problem.

However, she had to return to Leo.

She wiggled about on her belly, the demons attacking the bush behind her. They don’t know where I am.

She just had to get clear of the bush and soar off toward the dungeon. Leo needed her to make his stand. Siwang, too. He was in trouble. Monster girls were flooding his tower. This was a complete disaster. How did this man have so many monster girls?

Fire erupted nearby.

Alizee gasped as she realized something was setting fire to the thicket. Smoke billowed as the dry thicket went up fast. The flames were spreading toward her, hungry to devour her. The sylph hissed in indignation.

“Not fair!”

She shot upward, using her wind to rip her free. She appeared above the large thicket to find a group of shesha spitting on it. The serpent monster girls were working with the demons. They were coordinating.

Alizee shot off toward the dungeon, demons rushing at her.

Chapter Fifty-Six

“Fuck,” I muttered. Alizee was my only companion still alive.

The rest were dead. So were most of my Level 4 monster girls. I was facing an army, and I didn’t have one. My dragons were still alive. Still rampaging. That was something. I breathed in slowly as I stood with my reserves. In two or so minutes, I had lost most of my attackers.

“Here they come,” Smerta shouted, the valkyrie gripping her icy blade.

Kassie and Hagza spread out from me, ready to cast their spells. Pregnant Bellia moved before me, her wooden sword in hand. She stood resolute, a Paladin of Life. She prayed to Lady Ianna. I couldn’t make out the words, but I could feel the effects.

Hrandyjozny the ogress died followed by Sampatti the kappa and Didysisa the cherub. Dargumsa was the first of the giantess died while Agrandiozna was the last dullahan. Ala the seraph died, leaving only Ciela of her kind. Garadan the hydra perished followed by Bhavya and Roka the kitsune. Most of my forces dead.

The alarm for my dungeon blared as the dullahans galloped into my dungeon. They threw their heads before them. Explosion burst across the dungeon, obscuring them. I flexed my fingers and rolled my shoulders.

Anger burned through me.

I would massacre my enemies. They would not defeat me. I had not come so far to lose now. The words to my magic tumbled from my mouth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Agubnamus roared and descended on the monster girls with the other dragons. Pain throbbed over her, but she would not go down. She was the most ancient Water dragon in the world. Her breath slammed down into the monster girls.
The ambush was effective. In a few minutes, most of Lord Leo’s forces had perished. It had all happened so fast, but now the counterattack began.
Monster girls died.
The three giantess alive cheered and marched with them. They unleashed devastation on the Level 4 monster girls. They would suffer for this. The ancient dragons would drive them back. Lord Leo would be protected. She flew with the others, their breaths slamming into the monster girls.
They drove them out of the sky.
They battled them back. Alizee had figured out where the entrances were. That was where the ancient dragons attacked. They reached the holes and breathed into the holes. They killed the monster girls as they emerged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wai the Drowner felt fear for the first time in a long time.

He revived monster girls as fast as they died, but now this was different. How did Leo have five ancient dragons? His minions had reported them in the beginning. He could not believe it, now he did. They were massacring his Level 4 monster girls. His ambush was falling apart.

His dullahans were inside Leo’s dungeon. His Level 1’s were pushing into Siwang’s tower. Wai needed to pull his dungeon back and regroup. He could not summon his monster girls fast enough now. Time to close off the entrances, shift things around, and replenish his forces. Then he could land the finishing blow.

Yes, yes, that was the plan.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alizee got turned around.
She spotted a hole that led into the ground. It wasn’t one of the entrances she had scouted. It must be one of the surprise pits that led into Wai’s dungeon. Monster girls had come up through here. It was still open. An oversight?
The ground started to close.
An idea popped into her head.
A really, really stupid one.
She dove into the dungeon. The ceiling stopped closing above her. She grinned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The alarm went off.

Wai closed his eyes as his access to the Void Crystal vanished in the midst of him closing off his dungeon. A monster girl had entered. Hopefully, just one. He breathed in slowly. This was not a complete disaster. He still had many more monster girls in the fight.

“Find her and kill her!” he sent to his forces.

He would have to get his army marching if this gambit failed. If this went bad, he would need the tens of thousands of his soldiers to march through the tunnels and give their lives clearing out the vermin. Leo didn’t like killing mortals.

I should have just used them. They weren’t expendable, sadly. He needed his soldiers to police his citizens. Plus, they weren’t bound to him. He hated allowing soldiers into his dungeon. Even as guests, all it took was one wanting to be a hero and finding his Vault…

Wai breathed slowly. This was far from over. If they killed the monster girl fast…
