I watched from the Shadows as Melvyn Howland read Professor Scrivener’s final message when it appeared on the University of Wisconsin’s assignment website Monday, July 25th. The news of the Professor’s death had already spread through the campus. He had been found shot dead in his office the same morning. Melvyn read the note with a sick fascination. It was all about who was responsible for his death and his interesting translation of the Magicks of the Witch of Endor.

Sunday, July 15th, 2013 – Dr. Willow FoxTail – South Hill, WA

I walked through my clinic, inspecting the finishing touches to the remodel, the scent of new paint almost overwhelming. Everything was looking great, which was a good thing, because tomorrow was Monday and the grand opening of the Women’s Health Organization for Reproductive Empowerment. We were a charity gynecological clinic chartered to provide free OB/GYN services to poor girls.
