The no-knock warrant was clutched in my hand, faxed over by Judge Grant. We had woken the Judge up, but when he learned who it was for, Judge Grant didn’t hesitate to send us the warrant we had requested. I had on my FBI windbreaker over my bulletproof vest. My blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail, my free hand resting on my handgun.

My afternoon did not go the way I thought it would. Class released at Tacoma Technical College, and I was done for the day. I walked up the street to where I parked my car. I had to cross Tacoma Avenue near the courthouse. While waiting for the light to change, I texted my friend. I jumped when a loud siren blared. A cop car pulled up on the curb next to me.
