My laptop died today. Luckily, it’s still under warranty by a month-and-a-half. Instead of booting, it just wants to beep, and I have to mail it off to Dell so they can repair it. So instead of writing the end of the Devil’s Pact, I had to spend an hour talking with customer service.
Don’t worry, I still have a computer, so this won’t affect any releases, and I didn’t lose any information (I have redundant backups), I just preferred to find a comfortable spot on the couch and write on that laptop.
Well, going to start on the final chapter today.
Take care,
J
um…”affect”…and Asus makes far superior laptops than Dell. Just saying. LOL I stopped using Dell once I discovered they installed proprietary parts which kept users from upgrading unless they returned the machine to Dell. Not to mention that this Asus is the coolest operating laptop I’ve ever encountered. Totally negligible heat generation. BUT, being so dependable, it’s made me lazy about doing backups. Sigh. Be well. Ken
I’ll remember that next time I’m looking for a laptop. I do like Asus motherboards when I build my desktops.
