Biweekly Update 5/13/22

May is on us! I’m now a year older. So much stuff has happened in the world that I’ve been ignoring in favor of writing smut!

Got some great stuff coming. The first spin-off of The Bimbo App, Unseen Delight might even be out by the time you read it if not coming out. I have started what will follow Shipwrecked on Futa Island: MILF Loves the Futa. It’s about a girl who tries to make herself hot with chemistry and instead makes herself into a futa that MILFs (including mommy) finds hot!

I read the The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Vol. 1 is a harem series that promises 100 girls. I have no idea if that’s going to happen. It’s rather insane.

But this will be a harem series where they are dating. A real harem, not just a bunch of girls who are in love with him and the main character unable to choose. In the first volume, Aijo ends it with three girlfriends all willing to share him.

There’s friction. The sort of antics that you’d expect. It is a harem comedy, so there is some fun stuff in it. The girls are cute. So far, the three we’ve met are great.

I’m curious to see how much off the rails this can get if he really will have 100 girlfriends. I mean, a god has promised him this accidentally giving Aijo 100 soulmates instead of one.

UPDATE: I read volume 2 right before publishing this, and he got 2 more girlfriends in it. The harem is growing with all the girls agreeing to be his girlfriends.

2.5 Dimensional Seduction Vol. 1 is fun manga. A rom com. This one gets very fanservice. It’s about an otaku who is obsessed with a fictional anime girl name Liliel. The love interest in a manga/anime franchise who becomes an angel.

He has no interest in “3 dimensional” girls, only loving his Liliel. He’s the only member of the school’s manga club. Until one day, a new student shows up wanting to join.

She’s a busty girl that is a cosplay fanatic. She wants to dress up as anime heroines. The shonen ones that wear scanty clothing. And her favorite character to cosplay is Liliel.

Seeing her change into Lilel’s custom (as seen on the cover) makes our hero wonder if he can be in love with a real girl.

It’s a fun story with lots of sexy poses and it heats up when the second girl shows up, a model who has been trying to capture the heart of the one guy who ignores her, our hero. Is cosplay the way to finally get his attention?

I Can’t Believe I Slept With You! Vol. 1 is a yuri romance. When Chiyo quits her job, she quickly burns through her savings. One night, getting drunk with the last of her money, her landlady shows up asking for three months rent. Unable to pay, the drunk Chiyo promises to do anything.

She wakes up the next morning in bed with her landlady hardly remembering their night of passion.

A straight girl, Chiyo freaks out while her younger landlady decides to make a deal with her. She’ll move in with Chiyo and whenever she feels Chiyo has done something to make her happy, she’ll knock off a day’s rent.

Will the landlady seduce her straight tenant?

In Light Novel Land, I’ve been reading more of In Another World with My Smartphone. I read Volumes 4-6 and started 7.

He continues to accumulate fiancees as his power grows. We got giant robots now in our fantasy isekai. Not sure about this author. He has a fantasy setting and has been creating magical guns and tech.

I’m not sure how much longer I’ll stick with it. It’s a fine series. I do like the girls are all cool with the harem. So that’s something. They’re cute, but the books plots sort of meander.

There’s never like one plot, more like two or three that get resolved with relative ease. Nothing has really challenged our main character yet. There’s hints that these Phrase will get worse and worse, so maybe that’s something to hope for!

For iStripper, some great shows this last two weeks. I had a tough time picking the two. Another show came close. But i had to go with Melody Marks in Fruit Cocktail. She’s just such a cutie with a big smile that melts your heart. For the other show, I went with Mina Von D’s Dreaming of Teddy show. She’s wearing a sexy nightie and prancing around with a teddy bear.

Weekly Update

Quarantine continues, and we all need stuff to distract us!

I finished listening to Word of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. I’m off to listen to Edgedancer, a novella that bridges Book 2 and 3. It’s far, far shorter. It is buried in a short story collection (that’s really great in of itself).

It’s about Lift, a young and budding Knights Radiant who doesn’t take anything seriously but food. She’s an interesting character. In some ways she’s a lot of fun, in other ways she’s too “charactery.” She doesn’t feel like a real person. An eccentric person. A fun person. But not anyone grounded in reality. But that’s some of her charm. A lot of her is an act, to begin with, someone who wants to be a certain way and doesn’t to change.

I’m reading through Elfen Lied Omnibus Volume 3. There are few manga (or other fiction) where I feel true fear for characters’ lives. This is a strange series mixing a slice of life harem tropes with some of the most violent scenes in the manga. Characters get dismembered. Killed. The diclonious are insane.

The manga is way passed the anime at this point. If you don’t know about Elfen Lied, it’s about Lucy. She’s a mutated human with psychic powers. If you get too close to her, she can rip you apart. She’s being held in a facility under extreme guard when someone brings a pen within range of her power.

She escapes, killing many. When she gets shot in the head on the way out, she gets amnesia and goes from this jaded killing machine to a cute and innocent girl who is in need of help. But at any time, Lucy could come out. This tension pervades the series. It’s was a rather shocking opening back in the day, and the manga continues that.

Things are getting crazy. I have no idea what the end game of the manga is. I just hope it’s a better ending than the anime.

I started reading Altina, the Sword Princess Volume 3. This light novel is such a fun read. It’s a tactical fantasy series with Regris struggles to overcome his own doubts while advising Princess Altina as first her military tactician on the frontier and now in court.

Altina is rising in politics and is a threat to her older brother. I’m intrigued to see how the manga balances the battlefield shifting to court. How will Regris’s cope with this new situation? I’m interested in seeing where it goes.

This is one of the light novels series that I’m always pleased to read.

For this week’s winner on iStrippers is definitely Eva Elfie’s Sweet Smell of Spring. Eva is always a delight to have perform, and she has something whimsical and naughty going on in this show.

Weekly Update

Another week in quarantine. I hope you all are getting through it fine. That your families are staying safe. My mother gave me a bit of fright this week when she asked me to call her. I was dreading learning someone had COVID. Instead, she was telling my grandfather had to go into a nursing home because he’s falling all the time. He’s a big guy (I’m 6’1″ and he’s taller than me). My grandmother (who’s like 5’3″) can’t help him stand.

It was a strange reminder that more is happening in the world than the pandemic. He’s been needing extra help for some time now. Either a live-in nurse or a nursing home. He realized it and made the decision for himself.

In writing news, I’ve been thinking about what to write after Futa’s Mind-Controlling Panties. I’m envisioning a series of a futa who has a king for MILFs and their daughters. So some mother-daughter-futa fun coming soonish.

This week I TRIED to read Interspecies Review, the manga in a fantasy world bout adventurers going to monster girl brothels and reviewing them prostitutes. It’s an interesting concept. I really thought I would enjoy it, but I couldn’t even finish it.

Big disappointment.

The art isn’t great and there’s no real sex in it. All the fun stuff happens off-screen and then you get a score cared where each of the adventure rates it. A human, an elf, and then it’s either a halfling, angel, dog-man, and once a lamia giving their view on it.

This is more for the humor than the sexy times. And while sometimes it’s humorous reading the reports, this is a manga and they are doing a lot of TELLING and very little showing.

Though, the beginning with the human adventure bragging to his elf friend about how great elven women are. The elf adventure is grossed out because the elven prostitutes are all 500 or more years old. Human doesn’t care because they look like young and nubile girls to him. Then the elf adventure is talking about this fifty-year-old human prostitute he likes. She looks well-used and haggard to us humans, but to an elf, her being 50 is so young. It’s like barely legal stuff for him.

Sadly, it just didn’t click for me after that.

So I started reading Our Wonderful Life, a yuri (lesbian) high school slice of life romance manga series. It follows four friends who are starting their first year of high school. None have seen each other in years. They have fun personalities that play off each other which makes it amusing to read. And then you see the budding feelings between two of the girls.

Koharu hasn’t seen her old friend Mafuyu since she moved to Tokyo. Now she’s moved back and both girls are feeling an attraction. Neither one really is understanding what they’re feeling, but they get all cute and blushy around each other. It’s adorable.

It’s also fun to read a series that doesn’t take place in Tokyo. They are out in a small town with two of the girls commuting in from a village so small they were the only two girls in their grade during elementary and junior high school. Another girl just moved back from Tokyo which really impresses our excitable village girl.

All in all, I am glad I picked this up.

I nearly finished reading Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Vol 1. I knew that the character Rem, whom I have several figures of, came from this series. So I was interested. To my surprise, she’s not even in the first light novel, at least not in the character gallery in the beginning. Though she’s on the cover for book 2.

This one launches you right into the story. It’s an Isekai, but it starts in media res with Suburu, our main character, bleeding to death while a girl says she’ll save him. Then it cuts to him, a slacker high school student who just bought a bag of chips and some instant ramen at the convenience store, appearing in this world. He’s confused. Doesn’t know where he is.

He immediately gets jumped. Beaten up. There are some hilarious parts when a bunny girl thief runs by and he thinks she’ll help but she’s too busy running. Then our girl in white appears and she, too, appears like she’ll help only to reveal she’s after the thief. But she does save him and he decides to help her get what she stole back from him.

And this leads to the interesting twist of this series: he’s in a time loop.

It’s interesting to read. There’s a mystery here. Why was Satella’s badge stolen, who is the mysterious person who guts him, and more! The time resets are different each time as he does a different thing. it’s a fun premise but I wonder how long this can be sustained? So far, I’m enjoying it.

This week on iStripper, there’s sexy Belka – Cup Half Full that was my favorite show of the week. She’s just a delight to see. Always fun and flirty. She’s looking delicious this week.

Weekly Updates

Week two of the quarantine is upon me. My roommate is going crazy. His business is shut down and his job is not one we can do from home. He finally has time to play all those video games he buys and to watch TV shows, but he’s going stir crazy.

In the meantime, there is manga to read! I got some new ones in right before the quarantine. I just finished reading Creature Girls: A Hands-On Field Journal in Another World 3.

This is one hot monster girl harem manga. Daisuke is from our world and has ended up in a fantasy world. He’s a biology college student,s and he’s fascinated about all these monster girls. He’s eager to examine them as intimately as possible. And they are more than willing to let him after he starts using his engineering knowledge to improve their lives. From spider girls to harpies to mermaids, he’s getting monster girl pussy left and right.

This manga is borderline porn. It’s also full of lots of scientific stuff with the author going into plausible explanations on why monster girls, and monsters in general, can exist without magic. Often the text explaining these concepts is accompanied by hot monster girl sex.

It’s a fun and stimulating manga!

Then I went onto reading Parallel Paradise. It’s another etchi manga. Yota is a high school student crushing on his childhood friend. He’s staring at her in class when a strange figure in bloody robes and a hat that hides its identity. The figure tackles him out a window.

He wakes up in a fantasy world where a female night with a three-legged songbird finds him. When she realizes he’s a man, she attacks with her sword. But she also gets so turned on by him, that she literally is gushing pussy juices. It’s soaking through her panties like she’s pissed herself, but she hasn’t.

You see, in this world, no man has been seen in 3000 years. The women are not prepared to deal with one. Their bodies get out of control with lust. They need Yota to do something about it. This leads to some hot stuff.

It also is intriguing. Why have all the men vanished? Why do girls emerge from this castle? A few other mysteries I won’t spoil. I’m interested in what’s going to happen next.

Do You Love Your Mother and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attack Light Novel Volume 5 is out! I LOVE this series. It is hilarious. A great parody of isekai and harem anime. It’s the basest for the popular anime.

Masato is a young man. In high school, he just wants to play video games and not be bothered by his doting mother. Mamako, his mother, looks like she’s twenty (and can pass for a schoolgirl in the right clothes). She’s a gorgeous MILF who just wants to be the perfect mother to her only son. When Masato is offered a chance to beta test a video game where the players enter the computer, he leaps at it. Little does he know it’s a poorly managed project by the Japanese government to strengthen the bonds between children and their mothers.

His dreams of going to a fantasy world are crushed as not only is his mother along with him, but her two-hit, multi-target attack decimates every monster before he can even get an attack in. It’s one hilarious situation after another. And all the normal catching the heroine in the bath or accidentally seeing her panties or her naked all happens to his mother much to Masato’s horror. So Mamako is the center of all the fanservice stuff.

Great series. Eager to get into Book 5.

I outlined the first novel in Dungeon Builder’s Naughty Harem! This will be the series that replaces The God’s, Passionate Love. For Patreon fans, you’ll be able to read this series early in a few weeks for only $1. It’s a fantasy harem series with monster girls, action, and a mystery. It’s also an Isekai, where it’s a character from our world who ends up in a fantasy world.

Leo Baldwin will have to build a dungeon, protect his monster girls, and fend off from both rivals and adventurers! At the same time, he’s going to enjoy the sexy beauties that will join his harem and fight at his side!

I played D&D on Saturday for the first time in five or six years. It was really great. It’s set in a Dragon Age setting. I rolled a Level 5 Human cleric. I went war domain and he was kicking some ass with his greatsword and a buff spell or two. It’s 3.5 edition, which took me back to my twenties. It has been a long time since I had an afternoon away from work (not that I don’t love writing erotica all day).

Doing it over the internet was different (so social distancing was being maintained). And my headset is not comfortable to wear for hours, but it was still a blat.

It looks like a once a month game. The DM is a writer friend of mine. She does the covers and graphic design for some of my fantasy novels. You’ll see her work on the upcoming release editions of God’s Passionate Love.

This week on iStripper we had some great releases. But Redheaded Jia Lissa – YYou Belong to Me was a clear winner. She is one hot redhead (a weakness of mine). She’s petite and hot and playful. She always has the right sort of smile to melt your bones! In COVID days, she’s the sort of radiance that can make things brighter!

Weekly Update

I am now under quarantine! Which means I have to stay at home writing erotica. So… not much really has changed for me other than my roommate’s going to be around. His job is “non-essential” and his anime store is now closed. I had gotten used to having the house to myself most of the time…

Oh well.

Hope you all are staying safe and sound wherever you are!

I have finished God’s Passionate Love! All three books are written! I typed The END. Always a strange moment when writing a long story. It’s like a weight falls off of you along with an emotional rush.

I am thrilled. It came out pretty good. Nothing is ever the way you imagined in it your mind. It’s always imperfect, but I’m satisfied.

Triage X Volume 18 arrived just in time for Washington State to go under quarantine. I am a big fan of this series. It’s got wild action and violence, a main character who’s more than willing to get his hands dirty, and plenty of anime titties. An outrageous amount of anime titties.

Triage X is about Black Label, a medical vigilante unit founded by a doctor that believes triage needed to be extended beyond the hospital. To the criminals. Those who don’t deserve to live, the worst of the criminals, need to be put down.

Arashi is the newest recruit. A young man who wants to see evil punished. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the mission done. With him is Mikoto, who has her own dark reasons for wanting to be a vigilante, and the perky and playful Orhia. By day, she’s a pop idol, by night she’s sneaking off to kill criminals.

It’s an adrenaline-fueled ride. Volumen 18 ended on a huge cliff-hanger. Eager for 19. The characters are great. The action is intense, and the fanservice is abundant!

And then World’s End Harem 8 showed up. Love this series. It is full of hot, harem sex.

In the future, Reito is a young man in love with a girl named Eliza. They are both medical students in college. He’s scared to confess his feelings to her because he’s been diagnosed by a rare and new disease. It will kill him soon so he has to go into cryostasis. Medical AI predicts they’ll figure out a cure in the next five years. But he gets the courage and tells her. Eliza says she’ll wait.

He goes into cryostais and awakens to find out that the world has changed. A mysterious disease has killed every man save those who went into cryostasis. The world is run by women. Only those with Reito’s rare disease has an immunity to the MK Virus. He’s the second man to be awakened and all hopes of humanity’s survival rest on him. They want him to breed. He wants to find the woman he loves, but Eliza has vanished in the chaos of the last five years as society worldwide has nearly collapsed. He decides to find her and to find a cure for the virus.

So that’s your typical anime protagonist who has a chance to screw a bunch of women but declines. Luckily for us readers, the other guys don’t have these problems. So as Reito looks for a cure and faces naught temptation, the other surviving men are having their fun. Lots of sex. In fact, Part 8 has a mother and daughter tag-teaming a guy. So it has a great story and lots of sex.

A wonderful series.

Seriously Seeking Sister! Ulitmate Vampire Princess Just Wants Little Sister (Plenty of Service Will Be Provided!). Now isn’t that a mouthful of a title. It’s the light novel I’m reading. It’s fun and cute. I was hoping for a bit more yuri in it, but it’s more wholesome.

Ritsia is a true blood vampire, the youngest daughter of the king. All she wants is a little sister that she can dote on the way her family dotes on her. But her parents are just refusing to have another kid. So she embarks on a plan to go into stasis for a few decades to show her family she’s serious. A few decades is nothing in the life of beings that live for a thousand or more years.

Something goes wrong. She is in stasis for far, far longer. When she’s awakened by a young adventure, she learns that it’s been a thousand years since the vampires vanished and the world has changed. But now Ritsia has a chance to find her a little sister. Or more.

She’s a bit of an airhead, but she has a lot of heart. The book gets super real in the middle with some dark stuff.

Avery – Back In Your Heart is the iStripper card of the week for me. There were some great cards, but Avery just had this sensual cuteness about her. She’s sexy and playful. Just a delight to watch.

Weekly Updated

Still on track for my trip to Japan. I fly out in a week (Monday, the 23rd). I know the world is getting crazy, but Japan is not as crazy as where I live. I’m taking my laptops with me. If I get stuck in Japan or quarantine, I’ll still be writing.

Stories will still be released. I’ve been working extra to have content ready for publication over the eleven days I’m gone.

Things are getting crazy at the stores around here. Hope you all are stocking up on the necessities. My governor just shut down all the restaurants for dine-in. Take out and delivery only.

The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) Volume 1 was a bust. No etchi fun for the first 3/4 then I just got bored. No stakes. While the main character and the girl had playful banter. And while it’s funny that circumstances are conspiring to make him into a leader, it just had no stakes.

I’m now reading Division Maneuver Vol. 1 – A Hero Reincarnated Light Novel. It has a really busty chick on the cover, so I went for it!

And I’m loving it.

That cover was not a tease. It’s a cute, busty girl in a skin-tight outfit that keeps falling all over our main character. Her big, luscious tits keep engulfing his face. She’s even spawned her own “dere” subgenre: warrior dere. She’s the best fighter in school, but around our MC she gets all dere-dere (cute and adorable and embarrassed by her feelings).

Our main character is the Hero. He was the best pilot using this magic-technology to create armor and weapons. Aliens invaded and he flew into their portal and mortally wounded the queen. He also died in the process. As he died, he realized the queen would come back in 20 years. His desire to defeat is so strong, his soul enters a baby being born. He has a second chance.

Only on round two, he’s no longer the strongest magic users in the world, he’s the weakest. Just an enthralling book. Probably going to go onto the second book next week!

Started reading To Love Ru, the original manga. It’s the first two volumes bundled together. Lala is cute. The story is funny. It’s got some fun titties in it. Overall, I’m going to continue this one. Still reading it, but I’m going to get it done, too.

Lala is a princess from Deviluke, a planet with aliens who look human but have a devil tail. She has come to earth to escape all her suitors. She’s the daughter of the Emperor of the Milky Way. When she accidentally lands naked in Rito’s bedroom, she has found the man to be her husband.

But Rito has it bad for his childhood friend Haruna. All his plans to make her his girlfriend are backfiring thanks to the cute and adorable Lala shameless declaration of her emotions.

Jia Lissa – I’m On was my favorite card on iStriper that came out this week. And there were some good choices out there this week. There was a great Ellie Leen one and Liya Silvers is always a tattooed goddess, but redheaded Jia edged them both out. Plus, she’s got those thigh-highs on. Just yummy.

Weekly Update

Hope everyone’s staying safe with Corona-Chan out there. There are a few cases in my area, but things are still calm. (My friend who works at the USPS sorting facility in Federal Way told me someone at the other end of his building has it. So far, he’s fine. Which is good, since he’s one of my friends going with me to Japan on the 23rd.)

Writing’s going well. Next Son of Lust is on the way for those who are fans. Ultimate Harem Fantasy 2 is with my editor (the same guy who edited the Devil’s Pact years ago) and on Saturday, I started writing Ultimate Harem Fantasy 3.

The response to Book 1 has been great! Thank you all! I hope you’re eager for more from Marcus and his harem of sexy RPG ladies. We have a cute halfling joining the fun in Book 2!

I read Kisses, Sighs, and Cherry Blossom Pink Collection, a thick manga with various yuri (lesbian) tales at an all-girls high school. They’re cute and fun stories about girls finding love for each other and getting a little naughty. It’s by Milk Moringa. I really liked her Gakuen Polizi series. That one was a lot of fun.

I enjoyed these sweet tales of high school girls kissing in out of the way corners. It’s mostly about Nana and Hitomi and the trials of their relationship, but there are other girls swirling in the background. Really enjoying it.

And this will clear another manga off the stack of them in my bedroom that I’ve been accumulating since I got back into them.

I started reading The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) Volume 1. It’s one of the many light novels I have. Seems to be one of those tactical ones. Our prince is a lazy guy named Wein. He just wants to enjoy life, not rule his bankrupt nation after his father falls ill. He has Ninym (our cute heroine) to keep him on the straight and narrow. They have some funny banner.

And a little sister character has shown up. The art in the book has some nice anime titties in it, a nice topless shot of Ninym, so here’s hoping for some etchi fun in this light novel.

I got a new figure in the mail today. A sexy schoolgirl named Sari Utsugi. She’s an original character. The naughty ones usually are. I must have ordered her a year or longer ago, so it’s always a fun surprise when one shows up.

This week in Amazon, stories are getting published without covers! The Incubus’s Naughty Harem Collection 5 spent a day on amazon without it’s the best piece of marketing. It’s bad enough that Amazon has a stranglehold on indie publishing, but do they have to fuck up something as simple as showing the book properly?

Thanks, Amazon!

Avery “Siren Song” was the sexiest card released on iStripper this week. In a bikini, all nice and oiled up, she is such a sweet thing to watch prancing across your desktop. There were a lot of good cards this week, but she stood out!

Weekly Update

I started reading If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord 1 and I gave it up. Hoping for more lone wolf and cub thing, and it was way to slice of life. It’s about a guy who finds a half-starved demon girl in the woods near her father’s corpse. He takes her in and wants to help her out.

That’s fine.

But while he’s going out on his adventures, the story sticks with the girl as she helps out around the inn that he lives in…

Nearly halfway through, and there’s no conflict other than the mystery of what happened to her father and left her in the woods. That could work if there was any real tension or the story was focusing on unraveling the mystery, but I gave up when it started talking about her peeling potatoes.

So I started reading Her Majesty’s Swarm Vol 1, a Light Novel written by 616th Special Information Battalion. The Japanese are weird. And this is a play on the isekai trope. But instead of entering a fantasy world or MMORPG, our queen enters her favorite RTS (Real-Time Strategy) Game. It’s a mix of Warcraft 3 with the fantasy setting and the hero unit mechanic and Starcraft since she’s playing a zergling-like race.

No longer playing her favorite faction, she now commands them as their leader. But what she supposed to do now with her Swarm? I’m still reading this one, but I’m liking it so far. I’m curious to see where the author will take this premise.

I finished listening to The Licanius Trilogy on Audiobook! It was great to listen to this trilogy. It has a lot of visions of the future, time travel, and more, so listening to it in a row really helped to see how the story fits together better.

It is a great fantasy trilogy that gets into how can you have free will if God knows everything you’re going to do. Does that make you a slave? Just because you know how you’ll die does that make your choices meaningless? Things like that.

It’s a series that doesn’t hold your hand. You are as confused by events as the characters but you feel answers are there. And they make sense. It’s a puzzle that James Islington assembles for you over three books until it all fits together at the end.

Really satisfying ending.

Might listen to The Martian next while I figure out another long series to delve into. One of my favorite sci-fi stories. It makes a fun audiobook, too.

I don’t know if any of you have heard of iStripper, but I’m a fan. It’s a program that lets you get girls stripping and dancing around on your computer. Ellie Leen had a new card come out this week. God, she is cute AF. Definitely my favorite card released this week, and it was a good week with some great new shows coming out.

More fun problems from Amazon! The fun of publishing with them! For some reason, my original story The Incubus’s Passions Unleashed (The Incubus’s Naughty Harem 14) has material someone else published. They kicked my book back to draft (an unpublished state) and then I have to wait hours for the automatic email to get sent and tell me what the problem is. This isn’t a big one. They just want me to proactively claim it’s all mine by republishing it.

But it’s always stressful waiting to find out this stuff. Amazon just nukes people’s publishing accounts and keep all the money you’ve made that they haven’t paid you (up to two months worth of royalties).

Oh, and my car battery was dead. Winter and not driving it much have prevailed. It jump-started find, so here’s hoping I don’t need a new battery.

On weight loss front, I am getting away from snacking. So that’s good. And I lost nearly 5 pounds this week!

In my mainstream fantasy writing, I finished editing my second fantasy series. So that’s more than a little emotional.

Weekly Update!

I read An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride: Volume 9! This is one of my favorite light novel series, a pure fantasy one and not an isekai. It’s not a fanservice one, but still lot of fun. Zagan and his elf Bride Nephy are great together (even if their relationship proceeds like a glacier). This one had some great stuff with the couple strolling through a labyrinth full of dangers like it was a Sunday afternoon.

It’s a great series. It’s about Zagan a sorcerer who grew up as an orphan. He lucked out and killed another sorcerer trying to sacrifice him and learned magic. He’s since been spending his time getting better and better. His best friend is an untrustworthy guy named Baltazar. One day, he comes across an elf being auctioned off as a sacrifice. Not wanting her to die, he buys her for himself to set her free.

The only problem, he can’t figure out how to release her collar.

I finished Sekirei Volume 4 today. Really enjoying this Manga. It’s a lot of fun. I’m glad I picked it up. One of my fans recommended it to me. If that was you, thanks for the recommendation. It’s a great read. I’m on to Volume 5. It looks like all our harem girls are in place since all the Sekirei have been claimed (though Number 1 might still join the fun, we’ll see).

In writing, I’m still slowly working on the Dungeon Builder Fantasy Harem series. But I haven’t had a lot of time. I’m busy getting ready for my trip to Japan in a month. I’m also well into writing Book 3 of The God’s Passionate Love. It’s the final part. I’ll probably have it all written by May.

New hard drives have arrived.

Of course, there were problems installing them! The first one was an easy one. Though my motherboard can take 6 SATA devices, my power supply only has plugs four of them. one of those power cables is plugged into the Blueray player. The second plug on that cord didn’t have the slack to reach the new harddrive. Well, I wasn’t using that Blueray player anyways.

Next problem was Windows. Despite my BIOS detecting the new hard drive, my computer didn’t. At least, not where it mattered in Disk Manager. I spent a good 30 minutes googling this issue until I found a website suggesting this third-party software. It worked great. It detected the hard drive and let me create a partition. Then Windows detected it.

So I copied everything onto that hard drive and then chucked the bad one. I inserted the second hard drive in. Once again, BIOS detects, Windows doesn’t. I was prepared, though. I opened up that third party software and created a partition.

Only instead of the 2.75 terabyte partition I expected, it was only 2 terabytes. That confused me. It was the exact same manufacturer and model as the other harddrive. Why could I create a full partition on one and not the other?

Because they had different headers. Hard drive one had an MBR header which allows it to use its full storage capacity. The other one had a GPT header which limited it to 2 TB. Luckily, this third party software let me fix that. My computer is back in business!

In weightloss news, I have finallly got over the hump in eating less! I lost 4 pounds this week! I’m super thrilled!

Weekly Update!

It’s snowing today. It really doesn’t snow in Tacoma where I live. And when it does, it’s usually a light dusting. This is heavy and thick. it looks like it’s sticking around.

Well, glad I’m not doing my old job of driving around. This would not be a great day, but here’s a photo from my porch. This is the level of snow that makes my city fly into a panic. It’s rather sad, I know. We can go whole winters without seeing the white stuff.

Just lots, and lost of rain.

Anyways, I finally finished listening to the Crippled God, Book Ten of Malazan Book of the Fallen. This epic fantasy series I’d been listening to for over a year now. The books are long and while I really enjoy this series, it’s not one I can listen to for hours on end.

But the series is fantastic. It’s so different from any other fantasy out there. From the characters, the situations, and just the sheer breadth of the world-building. The Crippled God is a great ending to the series. Emotional and resonance and satisfying given how crazy and convoluted the series is and all the plot threads that Erikson brings together at the end.

I like listening to audiobooks when working (not writing or editing) so it’s great to get this series behind me and listen to more bingeable fare. I started An Echo of Things to Come (The Licanius Trilogy Book 2). It’s a fantasy series that just ended and I enjoyed it. Makes good use of time travel and prophecy while discussing some great topics like “Do you have free will if God knows everything you’re going to do.”

Read Saki the Succubus Hungers Tonight Volume 1 this week. What a great, fun manga. A cute and sexy heroine, lots of naughty fun, and a delightful premise. Saki needs men’s essence to survive, but she doesn’t want to be a slut like her older sister.

She wants to feed only off the man she loves.

Will she find that with her new roommate?

This even has some sister-on-sister action in it. Both in fantasies and in big sis giving a very intimate inspection of Saki. I can’t wait for volume two of this manga to come out!

I watched the series finale of The Good Place. I’ve been a big fan of this show. It’s the last TV show I’ve been following. I love the blend of comedy, philosophy, and world-building. The special effects might not be a great show, but the characters and the story make up for it.

It was a bittersweet ending. I’m not sure how I feel about the ultimate solution, but it was still a great farewell to the characters. This is a show that has always known where it was going. It kept changing the status quo as it explored a version of the afterlife.

I recommend this show whole heartily!

Boy, How NOT to Summon Your Demon Lord 12 got real at the ending. I can’t wait for number 13 to come out.

Enjoy your week! If you’ve read or watched anything great, let me know!
