Chapter Thirty-Two

Morana trembled as she stared at the others moving through the house. Mrs. Baldwin and Maya struggled to work the gurney up the stairs. The goth girl panted, her face covered in sweat. She shivered from what had just happened.

The zombies hadn’t followed. She looked around this house. She had never been here before. Had no memory of this. It wasn’t Leo’s dungeon in the fantasy world. It didn’t feel safe at all. Not with that horde outside.

“How do you have powers?” asked Morana. “You were able to do things.”

“Halia awoke us,” said Terra. She collapsed into a chair, fanning her face. “That was hard.”

“Awaken me!” Morana said. “I have the power of Death in me. I can help.”

“No time,” Halia said. “We don’t have time to have sex, and the sun is not up.”

“What?” Morana asked.

“She channels Lady Sherida’s light through her body at the moment of orgasm while beneath the sun,” said Hagane. “Since morning is a long way off, we cannot awaken you. We must hold them off. I do not think they will give us another day. They will come this night.”

“And Leo?” Alizee asked. “How do we awaken him.”

“Todlicht took his soul,” Morana whimpered. “I was freed from that prison when Leo claimed Lady Ereshkigal in the other world. Then my soul was able to communicate with him, but…”

“That will not happen,” Halia whispered. “We need the sun badly.”

“Yes, we do,” Mrs. Lucina said and threw her arms.

She shone brightly.

Morana gasped, flinching from the radiance. It bathed her body. She gasped, her cum-matted thighs pressing together. She held up her arms and let the light wash over her. She felt something stirring in her.

An ache that needed to be scratched.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Halia gasped at the light shining from Mrs. Lucina. It wasn’t sunlight, but it was Lady Sherida’s power.
Halia grabbed Morana and Mrs. Lucina. She pulled them to her and kissed them both. Their lips melted together. The current flowed through her. It was like having the sun shining on her. That same sort of tingle.
It was direct current. She didn’t need a ritual.
Shouts echoed outside their little threesome, but that didn’t matter. The three of them knew what they had to do. They needed to form a circle of passion to channel Lady Sherida’s power into Morana so she could be awakened.
They would need everyone to engage their powers to survive the night.
Todlicht is coming. He removed Leo to weaken us.
Halia would show the monster that Leo’s women were not weak.
The three of them sank to the floor, breaking their kiss. They ripped off each other’s clothes. Jeans and tops and a hospital gown were fluttering to the ground. The three women sank to the floor, naked and ready to love each other.
Halia pressed her face into Morana’s pussy, licking up the cum out of her snatch. She feasted on her with hunger, licking and lapping the spunk spilling out of her cunt with such hunger. It was such a wonderful thing to do.
She was more than happy to feast on the girl like this, to lick out the cum spilling out of her snatch. As she did that, Morana devoured Mrs. Lucina, who did the same to Halia. The three of them formed a circle of pussy licking.
Morana’s spicy pussy cream went so well with Lord Leo’s salty cum. Halia devoured it out of her lover with passion while Mrs. Lucina licked at her own furred muff. The three of them moaned, sharing in their passion.
Yes, yes, yes, flow that power through me, Mrs. Lucina, thought Halia. Lady Sherida, we shall awaken Morana.
Halia buried her tongue into Morana’s spicy snatch, swirling around and finding the salty cum. She loved gathering it out of her pussy. It was such a delicious treat. She groaned, enjoying it as Mrs. Lucina worked her tongue around Halia’s folds.
The paladin shuddered as the MILF devoured her cunt. Pleasure washed through Halia. Her cunt quivered as she enjoyed the licking. It made her moan into Morana’s pussy. Halia swirled around in the goth girl’s depths, searching for every drop of Lord Leo’s cum.
Halia found it.
She scooped it out of the girl until there was nothing left.
Thank you for your seed, my Lord, thought Halia as she licked through Morana’s folds. Thank you.
She fluttered her tongue up and down Morana’s slit, brushing her clit. At the same time, Mrs. Lucina did the same to Halia. The paladin shuddered with pleasure. She would have a huge climax. A massive burst of rapture that would sweep through her.
The three of them worked toward the orgasm.
They moaned and groaned.
Halia swirled her tongue around Morana’s clit as Mrs. Lucina did the same to the paladin. Halia rose and rose toward her climax. She trembled, so ready to just burst. She suckled hard on that bud, loving this moment.
The paladin suckled on Morana’s clit, Mrs. Lucina’s tongue fluttering against Halia’s bud. The three women moaned, the current flowing through them. A circle of passion channeling light between them. It rushed into Halia’s body.
Now it started to gather in her. Lady Sherida’s charge built and built in her. Other times, she absorbed the sunlight through her skin as she made love to Lord Leo’s women. Now, it flowed into her from Mrs. Lucina.
“Ooh, ooh,” whimpered Morana. “Lady Paladin! Oh, oh, Mrs. Lucina, Fallen Angel of Light! Oh, oh, let the darkness swell in us so that we might serve our Lord!”
“Yes!” Halia gasped and suckled hard on Morana’s clit.
Mrs. Lucina did the same to the paladin. The three of them moaned and trembled. They all loved each other. Halia’s tongue fluttered against Morana’s spicy folds. The pressure in Halia swelled to the bursting point. Mrs. Lucina licked Halia’s clit.
“Lady Sherida’s brilliance!” Halia squealed.
“Dark Lord Leo!” gasped Morana.
“Oh, yes!” moaned Mrs. Lucina.
The three of them came.
The solar energy building in Halia shot into Morana’s spasming pussy. As Halia drowned in Morana’s spicy flood, she supercharged the goth girl. Halia trembled, her own cunt spasming. Rapture surged through her body as she awakened Morana.
“For Dark Lord Leo!” Morana gasped.
Mrs. Lucina purred into Halia’s pussy, licking up the juices flooding out of the paladin. The three of them all trembled and moaned, feasting on each other’s cumming cunts. Halia lapped up the spicy cream, her spasming snatch flooding her body with more ecstasy.
They quivered on the floor. They gasped and moaned through all that wonderful ec
stasy. It was such a beautiful moment. The rapture washed through her mind, soaking her thoughts with so much bliss. The last of Lady Sherida’s energy, gathered from Mrs. Lucina, filled Morana.
“Oh, oh, oh,” whimpered Morana, awakened and ready for what was coming.
Halia panted, feeling so good. She licked at that delicious pussy. She just wanted to close her eyes. Mrs. Lucina licked at her pussy. That felt so nice. She just wanted to float away. To find Leo and make love to…
Leo’s fallen into Todlicht’s trap and…
Her skin prickled.
She gasped and bolted to her feet, her large breasts heaving. The rest of the harem watched her. Even those who had taken Leo upstairs. She looked around at them and shivered. Todlicht was out there. Death swirled in the night.
“He is coming soon,” Halia said. “We must be ready.”
Chapter Thirty-Three
Lana Fulmine trembled with terror as she waited in Lightning Pillar Room with her squad. She had Sefebe the succubus with her. Once serving Todlicht, she was now a loyal follower of Leo. She was like a busty version of Garnet, the same red horns peeking out of black hair, and the tail swishing back and forth like a cat.
Fara’s report that Leo had collapsed struck Lana Fulmine like a bolt of lightning.
Her number one fan had just… fallen.
“No,” Sefebe whispered. “No, no, no.”
The news had been broadcast to every one of Leo’s monster girls.
The other monster girls in Lana Fulmine’s squad all trembled. Lana Fulmine had the will o’ wisps, the quetzalcoatl, the thunderbirds, and the cherubim in here with her. The will o’ wisps were Leo’s oldest monster girls, created after Lana Fulmine herself was summoned.
“It will be fine, Sviesos,” Lana Fulmine said to the first monster girl that Leo had conjured out of the Void. Not summoned, like with Lana herself.
The will o’ wisp trembled, her entire body made of roiling blue plasma that swirled about in her body. She could fire blasts of lightning. A very useful monster girl. They all were. The cherubim fluttered their crackling wings, and the thunderbirds looked ready to take flight. Around them, the pillars of lightning danced with electricity, each ready to discharge and kill an intruder.
“Smerta, status of the dungeon,” sent Lana Fulmine.
“No intruders,” Smerta reported. “All squads are still in position through the dungeon. All outposts are open and vigilant. No sign or report of any movement.”
Lana Fulmine trembled. This was bad. Very, very bad.
“Wait, Mrs. Baldwin is leaving her post,” Smerta said.
“She’s going to her son,” Lana Fulmine thought, fighting her fear. She looked at her monster girls. “We have defended the dungeon in Leo’s absence. We have fought off the Saints! We shall protect him now!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mrs. Baldwin abandoned the Overgrown Room to rush to her son’s side.

“Everyone, stay in position,” Smerta announced to all monster girls. “All squads, be ready for an assault.”

Mrs. Baldwin raced through the dungeon, not caring about being out of position. The dryad’s fear for her son had devoured everything else. She ran through the corridors and across the bridge over the water in the final trap room.

Maya tried to stop her, saying, “We have to be ready!”

Mrs. Baldwin waved off the undine and said, “Turn the bridge!”

One of the mermaids flipped the switch. The bridge rotated ninety degrees. It was part of the cunning design of the room. To get to the Vault, you had to turn the bridge. Crossing it would just lead to the decoy dungeon, a series of traps that led to a treasure chest.

She ran across the bridge and through the unmanned guard room. She entered the map room. The adventurers milled around. They stared down at the map and glanced at her. They bowed to her as she passed by, ignoring them.

“Mrs. Baldwin!” Smerta shouted. The valkyrie wore her icy armor and glared at her. “Mrs. Baldwin, get back to your post!”

“No!” the dryad hissed and ran past.

She entered the living quarters and found Bellia and Fara lying Leo down on a bed. Kassie stood nearby, washing her hands together. The halfling had tears in her eyes. Mrs. Baldwin fought back her own as she hurtled toward her son.

“What is this?” demanded Mrs. Baldwin.

“He just collapsed,” Fara said. The elf’s ears twitched. “The ritual stalled. He said it started to work, the magic circle started to flow, then it… it stalled. He said something was missing. Then he collapsed.”

Mrs. Baldwin took her son’s hand and gasped. “He’s cold.”

“But alive,” Bellia said, the paladin leaning over Leo. She put her hand on his heart. “It’s beating. Slowly. He’s under attack.”

“Mrs. Baldwin, return to your position,” Smerta said.

Mrs. Baldwin ignored her and massaged her son’s fingers.

“The attack on the dungeon is imminent,” Smerta continued. “The enemy has disabled Lord Leo. The next move will be invasion.”

“And every Outpost is open,” Hagane stated. “We are spread out and vulnerable.”

Mrs. Baldwin ignored that and rubbed her son’s cold fingers, panic sweeping through her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maya stood petrified on the bridge, staring at the door Mrs. Baldwin had just run down. In the waters below, the mermaids, hippocampi, kelpies, and kappas swam. More claimed companions stood on the bridge.
Maya had Baaghi, Bjorni, Chara, Paanee, Ljosa, and Esclava with her. A powerful force of monster girls. They were in the final trap room, the reserve group of companions of the last line of defense. They all paced the bridge, waiting for orders.
Should I go to Leo? Maya thought, her liquid body rippling.
She wanted to so badly. She wanted to flee to him, but she knew that would not accomplish anything. She was not a healer. The attack would come. All she wanted to do was melt into a puddle around the man she loved.
“Tear them apart,” Bjorni growled. The bugbear had a bear’s head. A big woman with rage.
“Yes,” Baaghi agreed. The rakshasa had a lithe figure and a tiger’s head. She was just as vicious in close-quarters fighting.
“Who is the enemy, though?” asked Ljosa. A lampetia, she was made of light. It glowed out of her. “Who could just… cause Leo to collapse? No one was near him that wasn’t one of us.”
Maya shuddered. “The Gods?”
“Are the Saints back?” Esclava asked. “They’re deadly. It takes builders to properly kill them.”
“Siwang, Munjan, and that useless Lucas are alive,” hissed Paanee. The naga swayed. She had no arms and a snake’s lower body. She and Baaghi had been serving Leo as long as Maya had been in this world. “That is something.”
Maya nodded.
“Smerta’s right,” Lana Fulmine said. “Everyone, stay in your positions. Something is happening. Mrs. Baldwin and Bellia, please, return to your positions. Especially you, Mrs. Baldwin. The Overgrown Room and your squad need your leadership.”
“Someone has to be here with my son,” Mrs. Baldwin said fiercely.
“I will guard him,” Bellia declared over the chat. “I am his paladin. I will stand over him, and Fara will tend him with me.”
“I can do nothing in battle,” Fara said. “We shall watch him.”
“She’s right, Mrs. Baldwin,” Maya sent. As much as she wanted to run off. “We have to be ready to fight and defend your son. Something is happening. If we’re going to be attacked, it’ll happen now. They incapacitated Leo for a reason.”
Maya’s water body shivered. Just incapacitated him, she reminded herself. He’s not dead. He’s not dead.
If he were, none of this would matter. They would already be defeated.
“He’s still alive, Mrs. Baldwin, so we must be able to fight,” Maya sent. “Please, please, protect your son with us!”
Maya trembled, hoping it would work while fearing what was to come.
“You’re right,” Mrs. Baldwin said. “I’m returning to the Overgrown Room.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“This is insane,” Munjan said as he dressed. “He’s truly down.”

“He is,” Melin said. The mage stood nearby, Munjan’s best friend. “I am ready to move your monster girls to the other dungeons.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Munjan muttered.

His entire body trembled. Last time, they had lured Leo to the far side of the world. It had been tough fighting off four saints. Now Leo was incapacitated. Munjan had grown stronger. He had tamed a dragon. He knew powerful magics.

He started casting his defensive spells while trying not to tremble in fear. They had been so close to being beyond all this. For Leo to win and save the Incarnation. Then Munjan could have lived the good life with his squad.

Fucking gods are sore losers, he thought.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Worry swelled through Siwang as he grabbed his Void Crystal.
He sank into the interface. The first thing he did was close off all his outposts. He pulled them below ground for good measure. He had to make sure his dungeon wasn’t invaded. He didn’t have a mage to move about with teleporters like Leo and Munjan.
Siwang would have to borrow Kassie or Hagza.
Siwang still made sure his teleporter circles were in place. One was at the boundary between his and Leo’s dungeon. It was the place where they had met up long ago, a tunnel that branched off the throne rooms. The other end was here.
Anji trembled as she watched him from the doorway.
His monster girls were alert and in position. The entrance to his dungeon lay in Astovin Village. Siwang wasn’t sure who knew that. Everyone knew about Leo’s main entrance up in the mountains. He almost advertised it to draw people away from the village.
From Siwang’s dungeon.
What is coming, Siwang asked himself before he began casting his protective spells.
Anji straightened up and said, “We shall prevail.”
Siwang wanted that. He just wished to live with her in peace. To raise a family. To live to a ripe old age with his wife. All the things his illness had robbed him of in the real world. He was given a second chance in this world, and he would fight to keep it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

King Thanitis paced, worried in his throne room.

“I want the army mobilized,” he ordered Knight-General Arthemar.

The grizzled man, the right side of his face looking half-melted from the fires of a dungeon builder, nodded and barked orders. They were inside the palace, but also in Lord Leo’s dungeon. Learning that he had fallen unconscious…

“He will prevail,” Lady Aliana said.

King Thanitis’s betrothed entered the room. She looked striking as always. Her presence lifted King Thanitis’s spirit. They were to be married in another month. All the preparations were almost complete. He had hoped to wed her in a world that Lord Leo had saved, and now…

“Lord Leo shall prevail,” said King Thanitis.

Knight-General Arthemar conferred with officers when a soldier raced into the room. A youth with a plumed helmet. A messenger. King Thanitis frowned and watched the messenger rush up to the knight-general, handing over a slip of paper.

The knight-general read it and stiffened. “My king,” the grizzled man said, “elves are attacking the city gates.”

“What?” King Thanitis said. “Elves?”

Knight-General Arthemar nodded, glancing at the note and at the messenger. “You are sure it is elves.”

“They got point ears,” he said. “They are firing arrows at the gates and massing for an assault.”

“Where did they come from?” demanded King Thanitis. “How did we not hear of an army of elves marching through our lands? How could they take us unaware?”

The messenger trembled, shaking his head. He did not know how this was possible.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Queen Nyilianathiamia gasped at the messenger’s words.
“How can southern elves be attacking our city?” the queen asked. She had been about to head to her husband’s side. He had fallen, and now this.
“They just appeared on the outskirts, Your Majesty,” the scout said. A young man wearing nothing but leaves to cover his genitals. “I ran with the message. They are vicious.”
“Mobilize the army,” Queen Nyilianathiamia ordered, shocked by how calm she sounded.
Paetu appeared. The dusky-skinned human woman was actually a djinn, the ambassador from Queen Nyilianathiamia’s husband. Behind her came the treants, the monster girls tasked with guarding the queen, gifts from her husband.
“We must retreat into the dungeon, Your Majesty,” said Paetu. “We must protect you.”
The queen nodded and swallowed. “Repel the defenders. I will see if any support can come from Lord Leo.”
The elves of her court nodded. The queen knew they were better at managing her realm than her. She was more of a figurehead, but they would defend the city. She retreated with the monster girls around her, the branches thrusting above their heads rustling.
How did this happen? wondered Queen Nyilianathiamia.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The elves are attacking? Smerta stood confused in the throne room with the adventurers. Why are elves attacking us?

“What elves are these?” Garnet asked through their shared telepathy.

“Is this Fuegin moving against us?” asked Hagane.

“How could Fuegin know Leo is down?” demanded Nina Naughty. “Besides, he doesn’t use mortal servants. He just uses his monster girls.”

“Perhaps, he has learned the value of using the people he’s conquered from Lord Leo,” mused Fara, the elf sounding cold as always.

“Vilkas,” Smerta sent to the raiju “ambassador” to Lord Fuegin. The outpost she commanded lay the closest to Fuegin’s territory, the elven nation he captured to the south. “Be ready for an assault on your tower.”

The dungeon alarms blared.

The enemy had breached the dungeon.

Chapter Thirty-Four

As Smerta sent Vilkas that message, another screamed into her mind, “Vilkas!”

It came from Kuluna, one of the Pixies staffing Outpost Milianire Gamma. This Outpost was the closest to the border of the elven kingdom of Varimilianiatha that Fuegin had conquered a few months ago. Leo was in a coma, and Vilkas’s body sizzled with electricity. She appeared as a woman made of lightning. It swarmed through her as she growled.

The alarm blared.

Something had breached the dungeon.

“Demons!” Araksakaya screamed through the telepathic link.

Vilkas rushed up the stairs to the top of the tower. The demons must have landed on it, “How many!”

No answer came from the pixies on guard duty.

“Demons are attacking us,” Vilkas sent to Smerta as she pounded up the stairs. Behind her, the pixies Oralosuva, Aesa, Sevima, and Balakotuva followed, their glittering wings fluttering. “Unknown number.”

“Drive them out!” Smerta ordered.

No shit, thought Vilkas as she turned from a human woman into a wolf made of blazing lightning.

She bounced up the stairs. Garnet called her Lady Bitch Vilkas, and the raiju would prove that to the demon bitches that attacked her tower and killed two of her pixies. A demon rushed down the stairs, a busty and pale-skinned woman with big breasts and bat-like wings behind her. Horns curled out of her black hair. In her hand, she held a shadowy lash.

She drew it back.

Vilkas breathed lightning.

The bolt took the demon in the chest. She burst into motes. Vilkas snarled in triumph and raced up and out of the dungeon. Five more demons were up there. They lashed at her, swinging their shadowy ribbons.

The raiju breathed lightning, killing one. The lashes struck her, wrapping around her electric body. She yanked on the shadows, hauling one down to the ground. Vilkas pounced and ripped out the demon’s throat. The flesh became motes of light.

Wind whipped around Vilkas, striking the flying demons. Their wings bent, and they spun, crashing to the ground. One vanished off the side of the outpost. The green forest of Varmilianakiza lay to the west, the source of these bitches.

Vilkas blasted another with lightning.

Aesa screamed. The pixie flew across the tower into the goring horns of a demon. Aesa burst into motes that showered over the enemy monster girl and washed over her busty form. From the shadows, more demons appeared, leaping out of them and attacking Vilkas.

The lightning wolf leaped and attacked, tearing out the belly of the demon. More were around her. Their lashes struck her back legs, yanking her off her feet. She hit her side and rolled. She spotted Sevima screaming, the pixie spinning through the air before dying.

More lashes wrapped around Vilkas’s limbs. The demons all yanked, dragging her across the roof. She flashed into her human form, changing the shape of her limbs. She came free, bounding to her feet. She shot lightning. The demon flew back, striking the parapet before bursting into motes.

Vilkas returned to her human form. Wind struck another demon, slamming her to the ground and striking her head. She struggled to rise, but Balakotuva unleashed another blast of wind, which battered the demon’s head into the parapet.

The enemy died.

Another demon jumped and tackled Balakotuva. They vanished off the side of the tower, hurtling to the ground below. Vilkas shuddered. Balakotuva could not survive that impact. Neither would the demon, but the enemy monster girls were being revived by their builder.

They were emerging from a bush. A dungeon exit must be there.

Oralosuva blasted the approaching demons with her wind, scattering them. They dove for the shadow cast by the tower and vanished into it. They leaped out of the shadows on the parapet, swinging their black lashes.

Vilkas breathed lightning. Motes flew.

Oralosuva slammed hard onto the top of the tower at the feet of a demon. The pixie spasmed. She would have cried out in pain, but she clawed at the lash about her throat, choking her. Vilkas struck that demon with lightning.

Horns gored into Vilkas’s side.

Oralosuva wind struck that demon and blew her back. The pixie scrambled to her feet. Vilkas leaped and bit a demon in the wing, ripping it off. The demon screamed. Vilkas knocked her off the tower.

“Secure the tower hatch,” Vilkas ordered.

Oralosuva leaped down the stairs. Vilkas followed. The pixie slammed the hatch closed and locked it. That would hold the demons out for a moment. Vilkas moved down the stairs. She had one pixie left. How long to get reinforcements?

No Leo. No one can reshape the dungeon. They would have to travel down the tunnels. It could take…

Days.

“You have one left in the tower,” Smerta reported. “Bottom floor.”

Vilkas growled, not sure how one had gotten past her. Slippery bitches. Probably jumped through the shadows.

She ran down the stairs, Oralosuva following. The stairs spiraled down to the bottom floor. Vilkas burst out to find not a demon but a fomorian. The purple-skinned woman threw a javelin made out of darkness.

But not at Vilkas.

It swept over the lightning wolf and took the pixie in the chest. Oralosuva gasped out in pain and burst into sparkles that spilled down the stairs. Vilkas roared in fury, leaping and blasting the fomorian with lightning.

The purple-skinned woman rolled on the ground and came up with a spear that slammed into Vilkas. It rippled through her lightning body. The force of the weapon rolled Vilkas to the side. She shook her head. The blow hurt. It was made of darkness, elemental material, so it could hurt her.

She came up to find the fomorian thrusting another spear at her. This one had a wide head and wings beneath the point, a metal crossbar used with boar spears. They were designed to keep the boar from sliding down the haft. The beast would catch itself on the wings.

Vilkas roared, gathering lightning to blast the fomorian.

The enemy was faster.

The spear slammed into Vilkas’s mouth, choking off her lightning blast. The wings kept the haft from sinking down her gullet. She had a mouthful of shadows that hurt. The fomorian drove the lightning wolf back, pinning her to the wall.

Vilkas struggled to get free. The pain throbbed through her. She gathered her lightning. She couldn’t blast it at the fomorian, but maybe she could send it up the spear. She unleashed the electricity with a muffled roar.

The fomorian screamed and released her weapon. She stumbled back, not taking a full blast, enough for Vilkas to leap forward with a snarl. She opened her jaws wide to tear out the purple bitch’s throat.

A shadowy ax formed in the fomorian’s swinging arm. It crashed into Vilkas’s shoulder, biting into her lightning body. The blow slammed the crackling monster girl to the ground. She howled in pain as the weapon disrupted the current in her body.

No, no, no! screamed through Vilkas’s mind. She had gathered her current. Blast her. She could not fail.

The ax became a sword that speared through Vilkas’s head.

The raiju became motes of light and fell into the dreamless sleep of the Void.

Chapter Thirty-Five

“How fast can we get reinforcements to Vilkas?” Lana Fulmine demanded of Smerta.

“Outpost Milianire Beta to the north and Delta to the south are the closest,” Smerta answered. “They’re manned by gnomes and wildhounds. No fliers. They’ll have to run. It’ll be two days to cover the distance with no breaks for them.”

“Shit,” Nina Naughty cursed. “Without Leo, we’re fucked.”

“No, even with Leo, the dungeon is cut off,” Mrs. Lucina said. “As long as the enemy monster girl is in that tower, there is no modifying the dungeon.”

“Fuegin is attacking us,” said Hagane. “He has pinned the dungeon. He will attack the main entrance next. Our only hope is to infiltrate his dungeon to put him in the same predicament.”

“And we do that how?” asked Ms. Trueno.

Before Lana Fulmine could think of a solution, or anyone else could chime in, Perra, a hellhound guarding one of Astovin Village’s gates, screamed, “Death dragon incoming.”

“Death dragon?” asked Morana. “It can’t be one of the ancient ones. Munjan tamed that one.”

“There was that one death dragon who attacked Siwang months ago,” Hagane pointed out. “The one that I suspect belongs to Fuegin, but I could never prove.”

Lana Fulmine shivered and sent to the hellhound, “What is happening, Perra?”

No response from came from Perra.

“The hellhounds guarding Gate 1 are dead,” Smerta reported. “As are the Rock Elementals guarding Gate 2!”

“Fire dragon attacked Gate 2!” screeched Klitorsa the goblin. She would be at Gate 3. “Even bigger than the Death dragon. It’s an ancient Fire dragon. The Death dragon attacked Gate 1 and… No!”

“Being twisted by a green dragon!” Hipera, another goblin, screamed.

“All gate defenders dead,” Smerta reported. “No new breach of the dungeon yet.”

“Our missing ancient Fire and Life dragons are with Fuegin’s death dragon?” asked Fara. “What is happening?”

“But that makes no sense,” Maya said. “The Life dragon went south, not west toward Fuegin.”

“We’re missing something here,” Lana Fulmine said, passing around one of the lightning pillars.

“Multiple monster girls are flooding my dungeon!” Siwang shouted.

Lana Fulmine’s hair sparked with electricity.

“I’ve been breached!” Munjan shouted. “Monster girls are surging into my dungeon.”

Lana Fulmine closed her eyes. How was Fuegin this powerful? Fear washed through her.

“I’m fine,” reported Lucas. “But… What do I do?

“Here they come at the main entrance,” Garnet cried. “We’re about to be assaulted. There are level 4’s and unique companions!”

“Fuegin can’t be big enough to hit all of our dungeons,” Nina Naughty said. “Right?”

“The ancient dragons…” Hagane sounded lost in thought as she spoke on the group telepathic line. “They are still under the Gods’ thrall. No, no, this is not just Fuegin. There is another enemy here. One we don’t know anything about.”

“I shall speak with my father,” Fara said.

Lana Fulmine nodded. The dungeon alarms blared again. It had begun. The invasion. Her number one fan was lost, and she just wanted to collapse, but she had Sefebe, the will o’ wisps, quetzalcoatls, thunderbirds, and cherubim turning to her.

She had to be strong.

For my number one fan, she thought. “Get ready.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What are we missing?” Fauraliiithiliana sent to her father as she rushed to her study. He was heading to join her. “Why would Fuegin work with the Gods?”
“I do not know, but…” Her father trailed off.
“You’ve thought of something.”
“A legend. The Binding Collar. It was made thousands of years ago, so it was claimed, by Kovianiliiseam.”
That was the first wielder of the Blessed Blade of Thunder. An elf from Fara’s own nation. He had created a barrier that protected the Varmilianakiza Forest from dungeon builders for thousands of years until Fuegin figured out how to bypass it. It was why the Varimilianiatha Elves held such a repository of knowledge at the Great Library of Lyrialiasa.
“What does it do?” Fauraliiithiliana asked.
“Supposedly, it could control a builder,” he answered. “Thunder magic does have that facet to it.”
Fauraliiithiliana nodded. Siren monster girls and even some of the Thunder spells. She entered her study and looked at her books. She started grabbing any tome on legends and pulling them off the shelf, her mind whirling.
“But how do you get the binding collar on a builder?” Fauraliiithiliana queried. “They would have to be a weak builder. One that adventurers could overpower. Fuegin could not be captured by any but another builder of his strength.”
“No, but…” He hesitated. “What if they used the barrier? What if they changed the spell of the barrier to the binding spell? Then they merely have to activate it. He would be bound by them. Enslaved by them.”
Fauraliiithiliana blinked, and her long ears twitched. Realization washed over her. “Yes, yes, the reports of elves attacking Myrecilla and Verianithilia to keep King Thanitis and Queen Nyilianathiamia from sending us soldiers to help us. Or they were distractions hoping to draw monster girls to those cities before the attack on the Outpost locked down the dungeon.”
“But where did Fuegin get the strength for such an attack?” her father asked.
Fauraliiithiliana cocked her head. There was another puzzle that she realized was solved. “There is another dungeon builder attacking us. The strange builder to the south who killed Wai, yet he did not take the bastard’s place. A new player. What if they were captured with the actual collar?”
“That’s a leap,” he said.
“No, no, you would need to have the collar to know how to cast the binding spell using the barrier ritual. If it were found and being used, that would explain where this knowledge came from. Do not forget, the Life dragon that fled Voashire flew to the south. To this unknown builder.”
“How do we prevail with Lord Leo incapacitated?”
Fauraliiithiliana shivered and switched her communication to Leo’s companions, Smerta, and the allied dungeon builders. “We have an enemy that we did not even know about. The strange builder to the south must be a part of this attack.”
Barany stood in his Vault before his Void Crystal.
I am going to die today, he thought. There was a sense of… relief at that thought. Once they were done killing Leo and his allies, there would be no more need for Barany. He would be free from the torment and abuse.
The binding collar squeezed about Barany’s throat, keeping him obedient.
Right now, his Level 4 monster girls poured into Munjan’s dungeon. At the same time, Barany sent his companions and the three ancient dragons into Siwang’s dungeon. The plan was to keep Munjan distracted while killing Siwang. Fuegin, bound in another way, sent his main force into Leo’s dungeon.
In the wake of those monster girls, the Company under Therodin would enter Leo’s dungeon and personally kill their foe. All Barany had to do was revive his monster girls and send them back into the correct fight.
Therodin emerged from Barany’s dungeon exit inside the Village of Astovin. The Company marched with him, arrayed for battle. They had idled for too long in Barany’s dungeon. Today, they would finally finish off their plan.
The Gods were on their side.
With the Company marched a bodyguard of two demons, two cherubim, two seraphim, two jotnar, and two ogresses. They crossed the square to where another dungeon thrust up through the square. Fuegin’s dungeon.
At its mouth stood Ril.
Therodin’s elvish lover wore a mischievous smile. She looked so breathtaking. They had been parted for months. Ever since she returned to her own people to inform them about that strange geode they found beneath Barany’s dungeon.
The Lightning Shrine.
That had changed everything. It had led to this day. To this moment of triumph.
Ril’s sapphire eyes gleamed with love. She rushed to him, her white robes flowing ethereally with her. She embraced him in his stone armor and kissed the front of his helm. He wrapped his arms carefully around her delicate body so as not to harm her.
“I have missed you, Ril,” he whispered.
“After today, we’ll have broken the power of the builders,” she said. “Barany will allow us to root them all out. We’ll end this cycle forever.”
Therodin nodded, ready to end the dungeon builders and liberate his world.
With his lover at his side, he led the Company into Fuegin’s dungeon. In an eye blink, they stood before another exit. One that was in the mountains. There, monster girls rushed into Leo’s dungeon to battle with his foul servants.
Leo himself lay stricken, the works of Lord Nergal.
Therodin smiled as he watched the instruments of their enemies being used to save the world.
