Weekly Update

Oh, man, I have had a busy week. In my fantasy writing career, I got roped into doing an interview podcast. Cutting into my dwindling free time.

I did find the time to read a nice yuri (lesbian) manga. Scarlet is full of lezzie fan service and hot girls. It’s a vampire/werewolf mix with a sexy red riding hood, Iris. She’s a natural-born werewolf who doesn’t have a problem eating people. And she wants to eat Finé. But Finé is cursed, made an artificial werewolf thanks to a dangerous drug called Elixir. So she has vowed to stay by Finé’s side until she’s cured, letting Finé drink her blood to control her own violent urges.

But once Finé cured, Iris plans to devour her. Finé seems okay with this.

Death has long been a euphemism for sex, especially in gothic horror. I enjoyed this manga and love the author’s note at the back. Chiri Yuino didn’t think Yuri Hime, which prints stuff like Bloom into You and Yuri is My Job, these sort of contemporary and slice of life yuri tales, would print it. But they did and told her to put more yuri in. She had kept it more covert to try and print it in a shounen publisher. But now she gets to put all the lesbian fanservice she wants (including a bacchanal of hot women being overseen by a succubus).

For the iStripper girl of the week, I’m going with Carolina Abril’s Hanky Spanky card. She got real naughty in this one and is hot. But there were some good mentions this week.
